To all the fans of Ari Lennox who have been body shaming Lizzo since the latter won Best Album of Year at the Soul Train Awards, the soul singer wants no part of it.
“Tearing a woman down to build up another is not true praise.I don’t want praise if it’s not positive and genuine. Stop using me to pursue your body shaming and self hating agenda!”
Shortly after not winning the award, Lennox vented her frustration on Twitter well into the next day.
This led to many of her fans personally attacking Lizzo’s weight and size through social media.
While Ari Lennox never mentioned her name in her complaints directed at Soul Train, many trolls seem to believe they are acting on the Dreamville recording artist’s behalf.
“I know this is late but I’m tired!!! Stop using my name and previous rant to bash and body shame Lizzo. For the last time my previous rant was no diss to her. I’m not here for that ignorant shit and want no inclusion!!!”
