The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office in Atlanta released the cause of Bobbi Kristina Brown’s autopsy.

The official cause of her death was drowning and drugs in her system.  In a statement released by a medical examiner, her face was immersed in water which caused drowning and drug intoxication.

The drugs found in her system were alcohol, marijuana and other medications used for sedation or to treat anxiety.

Last year the 22-year-old daughter of Whitney Houston (deceased) and Bobby Brown was found face-down and unresponsive in her bathtub on January 21, 2015.  She died in hospice care on July 26.

Her cause of death has yet to be ruled as accidental or intentional.  The medical examiner’s office made a statement saying,

“Death was clearly not due to natural causes, but the medical examiner has not been able to determine whether death was due to intentional or accidental causes, and has therefore classified the manner of death as Undetermined.”

Unfortunately, her death mirrored her mother.  In 2012, Whitney Houston’s body was found face-down in a foot of water in her bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.  Prescription drugs were found at the scene but the autopsy found cocaine and heart disease in her body.  The cause of death was an accidental drowning.

Her aunt Pat Houston sat down in an interview with Entertainment Tonight‘s Kevin Frazier to discuss her niece’s downfall and how she wanted to take her to a rehab facility in California.

“When we really found out that Krissy was in trouble, we were really making plans to do something about it, but it came too late.”

Bobbi Kristina Brown was the only daughter from Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown during their 15 years of marriage that ended in divorce in 2007.
