Cardi B has officially added another milestone to her career. As of August 3, 2026, the Bronx-born rapper became the first female rapper to earn four Diamond-certified singles from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), further cementing her place in hip-hop history.
The RIAA’s Diamond certification recognizes songs that reach 10 million certified units sold or streamed in the United States, making it one of the music industry’s highest honors. Achieving Diamond status requires both longevity and cultural impact, making Cardi’s accomplishment even more significant.
In less than a decade since her mainstream breakthrough, Cardi has transformed from a social media personality and reality television star into one of the most commercially successful female rappers of her generation.
Her first Diamond-certified single, “Bodak Yellow”(2017), became the turning point in her career. Released as the lead single from her debut album Invasion of Privacy, the track spent three consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. In a 2017 Billboard interview, Cardi shared that the song came from being in a positive place in her life and wanting to create a record where she could celebrate her success. “I’m in a good place in my life right now, I wanna stunt,” she explained.
And stunt she did.
Following the success of “Bodak Yellow,” Cardi continued her Diamond-certified streak with three additional hits. “I Like It,” featuring Bad Bunny and J Balvin (2018), showcased her ability to blend hip-hop with Latin influences while reaching audiences worldwide.

She later earned her fourth Diamond certification with “WAP,” featuring Megan Thee Stallion (2020), which officially reached Diamond status on August 3, 2026.
