Internet personality Charleston White was released from a Texas jail after authorities booked him on allegations of unlawfully carrying a weapon, possessing marijuana, and driving without a valid license, according to Collin County records and reports published this week.
White, whose legal name is Charleston Jomone White, was booked Aug. 10 in Collin County, according to county judicial information cited by multiple outlets. The Collin County Sheriff’s Office maintains an online system listing current inmates and people released within the previous 24 hours.
The three allegations are misdemeanors. The weapon and marijuana cases were listed as offenses observed by authorities, while the driver’s-license allegation was connected to a warrant, according to booking information obtained by AllHipHop. The report said the marijuana allegation involved possession of less than 2 ounces.
Booking records showed bonds of $5,000 on the weapon allegation and $3,000 on the marijuana allegation, AllHipHop reported. White subsequently left the Collin County jail after posting bond.
The Collin County Sheriff’s Office says its jail records include people released within the previous 24 hours and provides information on the county’s bonding and release procedures.
It was not immediately clear from publicly available records what led authorities to encounter White or whether a police report had been released describing the circumstances surrounding the allegations. The Collin County Sheriff’s Office directs media inquiries to its public information officer and says criminal records and court documents are maintained through the appropriate county offices.
The allegations do not constitute convictions, and White is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
White, a Fort Worth-born social media personality and self-described motivational speaker, has built a large online following through provocative commentary about hip-hop, crime, and street culture. He has also faced previous criminal cases in Texas, including aggravated-assault allegations in 2024 and 2025.
His latest arrest drew attention in part because White has made law enforcement and criticism of criminal behavior recurring themes of his public persona.
