Relationship expert, podcast host, and bestselling author Dr. Stacii Jae Johnson hosted an exclusive screening Friday night in Washington to celebrate OWN’s new relationship series, “Put a Ring on It: Cheathab.”
The spinoff of OWN’s “Put a Ring on It” debuted as the network’s highest-rated unscripted series in more than seven years, according to information provided by the network. The series follows long-term couples whose relationships have been disrupted by infidelity as they move into a Miami-based “Cheathab House.”
Under Johnson’s guidance, the couples confront trust issues, jealousy, and unresolved emotional wounds as they decide whether their relationships can move forward.
The Washington event, held at The Realm Rooftop Bar & Lounge, gave invited guests an advance look at the fourth episode before its television broadcast later that evening.
Johnson opened the event by thanking attendees for their support and discussing the series, including her role in helping couples navigate the aftermath of infidelity.
Following the screening, Lindsey Granger, a NewsNation contributor and co-host of The Hill’s “Rising,” joined Johnson for a moderated discussion and audience question-and-answer session. The conversation explored the inspiration behind “Cheathab,” the process of rebuilding relationships after infidelity, and some of the challenges viewers will see couples address throughout the season.
Johnson also previewed the trailer for her newly launched podcast, “A Different Kinda Woman,” which focuses on the experiences and evolution of modern adult women. New episodes are released Wednesdays at 7 p.m. Eastern on Johnson’s YouTube channel and major podcast platforms.
“Put a Ring on It: Cheathab” continues Friday, Aug. 28, at 8 p.m. Eastern and Pacific on OWN.
The series is produced by Will Packer Media and Blink49 Studios and expands OWN’s relationship programming by focusing specifically on couples attempting to recover from cheating and rebuild trust.
Through the series, Johnson brings her relationship-focused work to television while examining whether honesty, accountability, and structured guidance can help couples determine if their partnerships can survive betrayal.
