Brooklyn rapper Fivio Foreign will perform his new single “Chasin” live with his newly formed choir, The Fire Choir, at the Red Steps in Times Square on Sunday.
The free pop-up performance is scheduled for 2 p.m. Aug. 16 at the TKTS Times Square steps at Broadway and West 47th Street.
“Chasin” is a gospel-inspired song that marks a new direction for Fivio Foreign. The Fire Choir, which appears on the recording, will join him for the Times Square performance.
The event will bring the song’s themes of faith, perseverance and redemption to one of New York City’s most recognizable public spaces.
Fivio Foreign, a multi-platinum recording artist from Brooklyn, has built his career in hip-hop while continuing to explore different musical styles. The performance with The Fire Choir represents a new chapter in that progression.
The performance is set for 2 p.m. ET Sunday, Aug. 16, at the Red Steps at TKTS Times Square, also known as Father Duffy Square, at Broadway and West 47th Street, New York, NY 10036.
