Knicks Rally Late to Edge Celtics 91-90, Take 2-0 Series Lead

The New York Knicks rallied late to defeat the Boston Celtics 91-90 on Wednesday night, taking a 2-0 lead in their best-of-seven playoff series.

Trailing for most of the fourth quarter, the Knicks mounted a 23-6 run to close the game. Josh Hart led the comeback effort with 23 points, six rebounds, and three assists, including key baskets in the final minutes. Karl-Anthony Towns added a double-double with 21 points and 17 rebounds, helping New York control the glass and create second-chance opportunities.

Derrick White paced the Celtics with 20 points, nine rebounds, and five assists. Boston struggled offensively down the stretch, missing several open looks and committing crucial turnovers that allowed New York to regain momentum.

The Knicks tightened their defense in the final quarter, forcing contested shots and limiting the Celtics to just two field goals over the last five minutes. Jalen Brunson, who had a quiet scoring night, contributed with timely passes and drew defenders away from Hart and Towns in the closing sequence.

With the win, the Knicks remain unbeaten at home in the postseason. The series shifts to Boston for Game 3, scheduled for Saturday, May 10 at 3:30 p.m. EST on ABC.
