A federal jury in Los Angeles Wednesday found New York Knicks point guard Derrick Rose not liable in a civil suit alleging gang rape of his ex-girlfriend.

The woman, who was seeking $21.5 million in damages, claimed that Rose and two of his friends gang-raped her in 2013 at her Los Angeles apartment after she had passed out from drugs or alcohol.

“it’s amazing that one woman and a false claim can cause this much difficulty for these men,” said Mike Monico, the lawyer for the other two defendants.

The newest member of the New York Knicks, Rose faced several allegations including sexual battery, battery, trespassing, conspiracy, gender violence and emotional distress.
