MTV2 is continuing to strengthen its relationship with young music superstar Mac Miller with a greenlight announcement of a second season of “Mac Miller and the Most Dope Family.” On the heels of the highest rated original debut season in MTV2 history, the second season will go into production this summer to continue chronicling the adventures of Mac and his “Most Dope” family and premiere in early 2014.
In addition, MTV2 today announced that Mac Miller will host a special marathon of the entire first season of “Mac Miller and the Most Dope Family” on Wednesday, April 24 from 8:00 p.m. ET/PT to 11:00 p.m. ET/PT on MTV2. The marathon will conclude with Mac personally introducing the exclusive worldwide premiere of his new music video, S.D.S., from his upcoming album Watching Movies with the Sound Off.
“I have no idea what we are doing for season 2 yet, but I assure you that it will be awesome,” said Mac Miller.
He added about his new music video and album: “S.D.S. – no one will ever know the true meaning to this song which is awesome. It just feels good to have a song from the album out. The process is finally beginning. I forgot what it was like to put an album out. Shouts to lotus too man. That guy right there is important.”
