Naya Ali releases visualizer for new single ‘Private Landing’

Canadian rapper Naya Ali has released a new visual aid for “Private Landing,” the latest single from the Montreal-based artist.

The song arrived this week, with Ali announcing its release on social media and describing the track through the idea of breath and the pressures of everyday life. In an Aug. 5 post, Ali wrote about how life can become overwhelming before people realize they have “been holding their breath,” introducing “Private Landing” as a new chapter in her music.

The single is part of a run of new music from Ali, whose recent releases include “Set It Off,” released in April, and “With It,” from 2025. “Private Landing” is listed as a 2026 single in Ali’s streaming catalog.

The new video gives the song an appealing companion as Ali continues to build on the sound and themes of her recent work. Her official Instagram account identifies Nile & North in connection with its production.

Ali, an Ethiopian-born Canadian rapper who was raised in Montreal, made her official music debut with the 2018 EP “Higher Self.” She followed it with the “Godspeed” projects in 2020 and 2021 and released the album “We Did the Damn Thing” in 2021.

“Private Landing” is now available on streaming services, with the visualizer accompanying the new release.
