Nipsey Hussle Murdered in Los Angeles

Grammy-nominated hip hop star Nipsey Hussle was shot and killed in front of his Marathon Clothing store in Los Angeles Sunday afternoon.

The murder is believed to be a planned hit with the shooter reportedly firing several shots at the rapper at close range and running to a waiting vehicle.

Some initial reports suggest that the killing was gang related.

His real name Ermias Asghedom, Nipsey was widely recognized as a upstanding member of the community, opening several business and creating jobs.

“Hussle had a vision of a neighborhood built for and by the sons and daughters of South L.A. During his life, he moved from shadows into the bright hope of freedom and community revitalization,” – L.A. City Council member Marqueece Harris-Dawson

Nipsey Hussle garnered national attention when he sold 100 copies of a mixtape for $1,000 each. Jay-Z respected his ambition so much he purchased ten copies.
