Police Release BodyCam Video of BLM Founder’s Cousin Keenan Anderson’s Arrest

Edited body-camera footage of members of the LAPD attempting to arrest Educator Keenan Anderson, the cousin of Black Lives Matter co-founder  Patrisse Cullors, has been released to the public.

Anderson, a 31-year-old father and educator, reportedly died from a cardiac arrest on January 3rd after being tased multiple times.

Cullors, posted about Anderson’s death recently on the social media platform Instagram.

“Keenan deserves to be alive right now, his child deserves to be raised by his father. Keenan we will fight for you and for all of our loved ones impacted by state violence. I love you.”

At press time, members of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Investigation Division are investigating the death.

According to Captain Kelly Muñiz, four-and-a-half hours after being detained, Anderson died at a local hospital.
