British Actor Alan Rickman, known best for his work in theater, passed away today at 69 years old.
Rickman expanded his fan base from the stage to the box office through his roles as Hans Gruber in ‘Die Hard‘ and Professor Severus Snape in the ‘Harry Potter‘ film series, among a number of other notable film roles.
Rickman will appear posthumously in two more films this year, ‘Eye in the Sky‘ and ‘Alice Through the Looking Glass.’
