For the second year in a row, the Sistahs in Business Expo (SIB EXPO) will make Atlanta, GA their final stop of their year-long multi-city tour on Saturday, September 7, 2019 from 10am to 7pm at Ambient + Studio, located at 585 Wells St. SW.
Created to celebrate, enhance, and advance the numerous achievements of entrepreneurial women of color, the SIB EXPO provides an accessible platform where businesswomen of various trades can significantly expand their reach and grow their business ventures through community outreach, strategic networking, and vendor participation.
After successful 2019 stops in Columbia, SC; Philadelphia, PA; and Newark, NJ, the final stop in Atlanta is already shaping up to deliver a who’s who list of female entrepreneurs who will set up shop to sell products, deliver keynote addresses, and participate in panel discussions that are meant to inspire, encourage, and uplift attendees from all over the city.
Supermodel and Real Housewives of Atlanta star Cynthia Bailey and Financial Expert Dr. Lynn Richardson will serve as the keynote speakers, while Married to Medicine star and actress Genise Shelton has been tapped to participate alongside others in the “AuthorPreneur” Panel that will highlight successful entrepreneurial women of color who are also authors, and explore how book publishing can help to grow a brand.
While other small business expos usually require costly vendor fees, the SIB Expo offers a more cost-effective option for small businesses, thereby guaranteeing entrepreneurs the ability to earn more on their investment.
The expo’s most unique quality is that the large majority of vendors will be businesses that are owned by women of color (the country’s largest growing demographic of entrepreneurs), thereby including and attracting a larger audience of entrepreneurial women of color and those who support them.
Other high-profile SIB EXPO participants include actress and producer Vivica A. Fox, legendary hip hop personality MC Lyte, Radio One founder Cathy Hughes, Real Housewives of Potomac star Gizelle Bryant, Love & Hip Hop star Yandy Smith, and activist Tamika Mallory, just to name a few.
