Sickle Cell Community Consortium Announces Warrior Con ’26 in Los Angeles

The Sickle Cell Community Consortium (SC3) has announced its 13th Annual Warriors Convention, “Warrior Con ’26,” which will bring together patients, caregivers, researchers, and partners for a five-day gathering focused on the future of sickle cell care.

The event is scheduled for July 22–26, 2026, at the Sheraton Gateway Los Angeles Hotel. Under the theme “Legacy in Action: The Next Move,” the convention aims to build on generations of advocacy and resilience within the sickle cell community.

“Warrior Con ’26 continues that legacy by creating a space where community meets research, advocacy inspires action, and the next generation is equipped to lead,” the organization said in a press release.

The convention features a robust agenda, including:

  • T3 EXPO: A showcase of the latest innovations in treatments, therapies, and technologies.
  • Targeted Tracks: Interactive sessions specifically designed for men, those in the “Trait” community, caregivers, post-transformative therapy patients, and youth and teens.
  • Wellness and Support: Dedicated programming focused on mental, emotional, and spiritual health, as well as family-centered sessions to support caregivers and spouses.
  • Community Celebration: The event will conclude with the “Kings, Queens & Warriors Royal Ball,” a formal black-tie gala.

Founded in 2014, the Sickle Cell Community Consortium is a national patient-led collaborative that works to bridge the gap between medical professionals and those living with the disease.

Warrior Con ’26 is enhancing accessibility and community impact by offering eligible warriors and caregivers free 5-day hotel stays, alongside travel support for families facing transportation barriers.

Wellness, therapeutic, holistic, and community-based businesses can access free vendor opportunities, and attendees will enjoy more youth and family programs, mental health workshops, and resources for those with sickle cell disease.

The event is supported by title sponsor Agios Pharmaceuticals and impact sponsor Pfizer Rare Disease.

Registration for the convention is currently open at www.sicklecellconvention.org.
