Snoop Lion Talks Gay Rappers on VH1’s BMBL with Carrie Keagan

Snoop Lion appeared on VH1’s Big Morning Buzz Live with Carrie Keagan this week to discuss his hopes that gay rappers will soon be welcomed into the world of hip hop.

“It’s like this rap game was created off of a different stigma and we were brainwashed not to accept certain things but as we get older and we learn, we appreciate life, so I feel like in the near future it could happen it’s just not right now. […]

In the near future it will happen because there’s so much unification going on with music and life in general.”

He went on to say, “People are people no matter what their preference is. And that’s what we have to understand as humans – that we can’t dictate our lives off what somebody else loves or doesn’t love.

You have to live your life for who you are and you have to respect other peoples’ decisions and give them their space.”
