The tension is real on BET’s newest docuseries, “Ladies Night,” starring Salt-N-Pepa (SNP), DJ Spinderella (Spin) and SWV. In last night’s episode, riffs within and between the two groups, make the idea of a successful tour seem like a long shot. As the groups prepare to take the stage together, issues are arising from all sides.
Doubting SWV’s dedication, SNP reduces the tour to spot dates. Taj and Lelee are feeling some concerned about Coko’s diva behavior, and fear that she doesn’t recognize just how big this opportunity is for the ladies.
Meanwhile, Spinderella is looking to cement her legacy and make her mark on Vegas with a residency of her own. But while Spin pushes for her own spotlight, the DJ isn’t certain that SNP will have her back, saying she often feels left out of the two MC’s tight-knit relationship.
Can the groups pull it together in time for the tour? Will clashing opinions and egos derail the performances and possibly friendships as well?
