Tumblr and rap phenomenon, Wiz Khalifa (trapwiz.tumblr.com) are teaming up for a Tumblr IRL live exhibit to be held on Saturday, August 16th at Ironwood Hall in Austin, TX (505 E. 7th Street). On the heels of the exhibit, the Rostrum/ Atlantic Records artist will be releasing his third album BLACC HOLLYWOOD on August 19th.
Wiz Khalifa: A Tumblr IRL and Blacc Hollywood Experience is open to all ages and is free to the public with RSVP. Doors open at 7:00 pm.
Fans will get to experience the new Wiz Khalifa album, “BLACC HOLLYWOOD” in its entirety prior to its August 19th release. The live exhibit will be held in an art space outfitted with projections created by the lo-fi VHS artist from Tumblr, Uzi (lifewithuzi.tumblr.com).
Fan will also get to be up close and personal with Wiz while he performs 4-5 songs from BLACC HOLLYWOOD.
Now in its eighth installment, Tumblr IRL offers music fans intimate shows with bands and artists and showcases vibrant installations by Tumblr artists − melding fandom and design to bring some of the best aspects of Tumblr to life.
Previous Tumblr IRLs include Portugal, The Man & INSA, Chromeo & Snarkitecture, Manchester Orchestra & Ginger Group Designs, Broken Bells & Jacob Escobedo, Childish Gambino & Brian Roettinger, Little Dragon & Show Drawn, Jungle & Oliver Hadlee Pearch.
