2023 Hustle & Heart Classic Recap

Hustle & Heart Classic

In the basketball capital of the world, having both hustle and heart are non-negotiables. Spotlighting the city’s top high school basketball players, ACES Elite and Overtime Elite hosted their 2023 Hustle & Heart Classic this past weekend.

Leading their mission and purpose with impact, ACES prioritizes style, purpose, and sport to honor those who “fight, grind, persevere, and overcome the odds.” Founded by Brian Kortovich, ACES was created on the basis of Kortovich’s life vision which is defined by dreaming big and overcoming the odds. From earning his street cred on the courts across New York City, he quickly became known as “Smoking’ Aces.”

Seeing much success in his career, Kortovich wanted to give back by empowering the youth to command their own life story. “I wanted to change this into a journey that everyone can relate to, hustle, heart, overcome the odds. That universal connectivity. That’s ACES.

As initially stated, the Hustle & Heart Classic featured both boys’ and girls’ talent, at the high school level, who are nationally ranked. Teaming up, and facing off, Overtime Elite and ACES Elite took over the courts at Baruch College in Manhattan for two nights. From basketball and sports media influencers to Carmelo and Kiyan Anthony sitting courtside, and the event sponsored by the likes of Snipes, NIKE, ShoBasketball, Def Jam Recordings, and more, these games were trending all weekend.

You just had to be there. In case you missed it, check out our recap below.
