50 Cent & Eminem Working on “8 Mile” TV Show

8 Mile TV

Eminem’s 2002 film, “8 Mile” is going to be a TV show. Rapper and friend, 50 Cent, made the announcement last night during his guest appearance on BigBoyTV. Like the movie, “8 Mile” the TV show will be a semi-autographical take on Eminem’s life but “it’s gonna be big” according to 50 Cent. On his accord, 50 shared that the project will provide a “backstory” of what was shown on film – extending as far back as Eminem’s younger years.

“I’m working. I ain’t got no duds. I’m batting 100. I think it should be there for his legacy because it’s important to me that they understand it.”

The statement is truly a testament to the bond and friendship 50 Cent has built with Eminem throughout the years. Their friendship, which has lasted for the past two decades, all started back in 2002. This was the year Eminem discovered 50 Cent via a mixtape he was on. A year later, 50 Cent pulled Em for a feature on his single “Patiently Waiting,” while working on his debut album.

2003 was the year the duo started winning awards together, and their friendship was starting to solidify. From being “Gatman and Robbin” to 50 being a support system for Eminem during his year of addiction, to officially calling Em his “best friend” in 2014, these two have a bromance like no other.

In 2018, 50 Cent defended Eminem when Machine Gun Kelly decided to start a feud with the Detroit legend. A couple of years later, Eminem was the one to honor 50 Cent during his Hollywood Walk of Fame Ceremony. And just last year, the dynamic duo performed at the 2022 Super Bowl Halftime Show together.

Surely there are more events that have occurred throughout this timeline, but you get the point. These two are ride or die.
