Lebron James Reflects on Historic Career & More in New NBA on ESPN Special

Lebron James

Lebron James is on pace to break the NBA scoring title. The King’s 20-year career in the NBA has been nothing short of iconic. In an ESPN interview that aired last night, Lebron shares his thoughts on various topics – from surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s record as the all-time leading scorer in the NBA to hopes of playing on the same court with his son, and more.

At 38 years old, Lebron’s evolution throughout his career, and the impact he’s made on the game of basketball will forever be etched into NBA history. And there’s no denying that.

Reflecting on all of his accomplishments, Lebron had a moment when discussing his journey to breaking Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s scoring record.

“I don’t know. I don’t know because I have not set out to do that. It wasn’t,like, a goal of mine when I entered the league. Making the All-Star team, being Rookie of the Year, being First-Team All-NBA, First-Team All-Defense. Winning a championship, for sure and being an MVP of the league.

The scoring record was never ever even thought of in my head because I’ve always been a pass-first guy. I’ve always loved seeing the success of my teammates.”

King James’ illustrious career is one of the record books, and he will go down as one of the greatest basketball players. Currently sitting on 37,903 points, there’s no doubt he’ll break the scoring record before his retirement.

Speaking on retirement, James has always hinted at the idea of hanging up his jersey only after getting the chance to play in the NBA with his son, Bronny. Facilitated by ESPN’s, Dave McMenamin, the one-on-one special is a must-watch.
