Gabby Samone has released her debut single, “Complicated,” now available on all digital streaming platforms via BMG. The release includes the premiere of the “Complicated” music video on her YouTube channel.
An American Idol Season 23 finalist, Samone follows her run on the show with her first official release as a recording artist. The single comes after a year that included a headlining tour, Gabby Samone: Live at City Winery.
“Complicated” was co-written by Samone with YXSH, Jonathan Ball and Cornell Showell, and produced by YXSH and Mike “gaddii” Saunders. The song focuses on the uncertainty of reconnecting with a past relationship. Lyrics such as “Questions, like will we make it this time/Is it worth the rewind” reflect that theme.
The music video was directed by Kristen Taylor White and was released alongside the single.
