Harlem Cycle Opens Newark Location In Downtown District

Harlem Cycle opened its Newark location on Friday, Jan. 23, 2026, at 145 Halsey Street in the city’s Downtown district. The opening included a ribbon-cutting ceremony held in partnership with Invest Newark and marked the brand’s entry into the Newark community.

Newark Mayor Ras J. Baraka joined Newark City Council President Larry Crump and City Councilwoman Amina Bey to welcome founder and CEO Tammeca Rochester. The event recognized the launch of the company’s third studio.

The Downtown Newark studio adds to Harlem Cycle’s presence in urban centers and aligns with local economic development efforts supported by Invest Newark. The Halsey Street location places the brand among businesses and institutions contributing to activity in the district.

The Newark opening reflects Harlem Cycle’s expansion and focus on wellness programs tied to local communities. The studio will offer cycling classes and serve as a space for events connected to fitness and health.

Residents can find updates, class schedules, and community news through Harlem Cycle’s official social media channels on Instagram at @harlemcycle and on Facebook.
