Urban Magazine has released its Women’s Issue, highlighting women working across film, media, fitness, fashion, and business, led by actor and director Yolonda Ross.
Ross discusses directing work on the final season of the television drama “The Chi” and outlines plans for future projects. Known for her acting role on the series, Ross has expanded into directing as the show approaches its closing chapter.
The issue also features actor Jordan Coleman of BET’s “Sistas,” author and journalist Aliya King Neil, Harlem Cycle founder Tammeca Rochester, and luxury fashion consultant Charlotte Jackson. Each profile examines professional paths and work in their fields.
Other honorees include Anje Pearson, Aleesha Carter, Chanel Rae Pettaway, Valese Jones, Kirsten West Savali, Mecca Evans, Jamila Bell, Tee Elitou, Amber Grimes, and Tanisha D. Davis.
Editors said the issue recognizes women whose work spans media, culture and entrepreneurship during Women’s History Month, a period that highlights contributions of women across the United States.
