Ne-Yo and Akon launched their global co-headline Nights Like This Tour over the weekend with three consecutive sold-out arena shows at 3Arena in Dublin.
Across the three-night run, the setlist featured a sequence of hits tied to both artists’ peak chart eras. NE-YO performed “So Sick,” “Closer,” and “Miss Independent,” while AKON delivered “Smack That,” “Lonely,” and “Right Now (Na Na Na).” The lineup established the format for the tour’s upcoming dates.
The Nights Like This Tour combines both catalogs into a shared production, structured as a continuous set with alternating performances. NE-YO opens the show before transitions move between both artists, supported by a live band and a staging design built around crowd interaction and sing-alongs.
Production elements include aerial dancers and a sequence in which AKON performs above the audience inside a suspended bubble. French dance duo Les Twins also appear during the show. The concert closes with a joint performance of “Play Hard,” staged with both artists elevated above the stage.
The tour moved to Newcastle for a performance Tuesday and continues Wednesday in Glasgow at OVO Hydro. Additional dates include stops in Leeds, Manchester, Paris, Amsterdam, Stockholm, and Hamburg. The European leg includes a four-night stand at The O2 in London.
The North American leg begins June 17 in Vancouver at Rogers Arena. The run includes dates in Edmonton, Calgary, Atlanta, Tampa, Virginia Beach, Toronto, Dallas, Austin, and Las Vegas. The tour is set to conclude Aug. 21 at Kia Forum in Inglewood.
