Cast members of Starz’s hit show Run The World have addressed Andrea Bordeaux’s recent departure from the series over the on-set vaccine mandate.

Reportedly, the actress, who plays Ella McFair, was asked to leave the show when she refused to conform to the policies enforced by the show’s production company, Lionsgate.

The remaining three castmates, Bresha Webb, Corbin Reid and Amber Stevens spoke kindly of Bordeaux at a recent event with Webb quoted as saying, “It’s unfortunate. We all became her family, and we all became very good friends. It shows – the chemistry in the show is real. So, it is unfortunate, but the show must go on.”

At press time, it appears the role of Ella is unlikely to be recast for season two.

The industry has widely embraced production mandates that require all cast and crew to be fully vaccinated.
