This morning, Angela Yee announced that she will be leaving Power 105’s Breakfast Club to start her own show.
Yee has long been a member of The Breakfast Club alongside DJ Envy and Charlamagne. Together, they have created one of the most popular shows in the history of radio, especially in Black culture.
“I’m not exactly sure when it will be starting. I just know it will be in the fall some time,” she explained.
Both Envy and Charlamagne applauded her forthcoming move, dispelling long existing rumors of rivalries and conflicts behind the scenes.
” I am extremely happy for Angela Yee and I am extremely for the culture of radio,” said Charlamagne.
The trio have been the sole hosts of The Breakfast Club for over 12 years.
