PETA Drops New Campaign – Eat Good Feel Good

Lizzo thinks it’s about damn time people go vegan! On the heels of her just-released album, Special, the Grammy winner’s hit song “Good as Hell” appears in a new PETA video—launching today—that celebrates going vegan as a way to “eat good and feel good.” Lizzo has been 100% that vegan since 2020 and recently scored one of PETA’s “Most Beautiful Vegan” awards.

Lizzo is joined by former NBA player John Salley, Too Hot to Handle star Francesca Farago, comedian Nikki Glaser (with her beloved rescued pup Luigi), Joaquin Phoenix, Alicia Silverstone, Friday star Angela Means (who showcases dishes from her Los Angeles restaurant, Jackfruit Café), and some everyday heroes—including vegan nurses, a teacher, and a New York City father nicknamed “Vigilante Vegan.” The spot is a hugely upbeat, fun reminder that people who go vegan can still eat yummy versions of their favorite meals, with additional benefits:

  • Sparing nearly 200 animals a year and rejecting cruelty to animals in the food industry
  • Reducing their risk of developing heart disease, diabetes, and cancer
  • Dramatically shrinking their carbon footprint (According to the United Nations and Al Gore, a global shift toward vegan meals is necessary to combat the worst effects of the climate catastrophe.)
  • Possibly helping to prevent another pandemic, as SARS, swine flu, bird flu, and COVID-19 all stemmed from confining and killing animals for food

“When I was in the NBA, this gave me all the energy I needed,” four-time NBA champ John Salley says, holding up a prized purple cauliflower from his garden.
