Beyoncé Uses Black Lives Matter & Other Social Issues To Promote Her Upcoming Tour

Beyonce

Over the weekend Beyoncé heavily promoted herself in order to get people interested in her upcoming tour.

It all started Friday with a $1.5 million donation from Jay-Z’s music streaming service Tidal to the Black Lives Matter movement. The money comes from the charity concert Jay-Z did back in October 2015. The concert featured artists such as Drake, Nicki Minaj, and Rihanna.

Saturday Beyoncé followed it up by dropping the video for her new Formation song. The video featured Hurricane Katrina, the stopping of police violence, and a New Orleans lifestyle. She also reminded everyone she’s a Texas Bama that loves her baby’s Afro and her husband’s big nose. It was the most pro-Black we’ve ever seen her.

Along with the Formation video came the Formation website with clothing for sell. The articles of clothing features certain lines mentioned in her song. The excitement over the video made many people initially miss the website, but that didn’t matter. Everyone was participating her halftime performance at the Super Bowl.

Sunday came and more people were excited for the Super Bowl performance than they were about who would win the game. Beyoncé gave her fans what they wanted and more. The halftime show ended and a commercial came on advertising the Formation World Tour.

She didn’t have to put that much effort into getting our money.
