Singer Brian McKnight has initiated legal proceedings against Jaguar Wright, alleging she spread false information online. McKnight, in a lawsuit filed recently, asserts that Wright made baseless accusations, including claims of hiring prostitutes and engaging in abusive behavior during intimate encounters. McKnight vehemently denies these allegations.
Additionally, Wright alleged that McKnight mistreated his ex-wife, Julie McKnight, whom she claims is her cousin. McKnight, refuting these assertions, stated, “I never abused my ex-wife and was unaware of any supposed familial connection to Jaguar.”
The lawsuit contends that Wright’s actions were deliberate and malicious, damaging McKnight’s reputation. Wright, known for controversial statements, previously made startling claims during a Piers Morgan interview, suggesting Jay-Z and Beyoncé were involved in misconduct. Following objections from the couple’s representatives, Morgan issued an apology for airing the remarks.
McKnight’s legal action seeks damages from Wright, asserting that her statements were defamatory and entirely without merit.
