Dan Fogelman’s ‘The Land’ Brings Family Drama and NFL Stakes to Hulu

Dan Fogelman is returning to television with a new family drama set in the pressure-filled world of professional football.

“The Land,” from the creator of “Paradise” and “This Is Us,” will premiere Feb. 15 on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers in the U.S. The series will stream internationally on Disney+.

The drama centers on Danny Roarke, head coach of the Cleveland Browns, as he faces what could be his final chance to turn around the struggling team after several disappointing seasons.

His future becomes even more complicated when the Browns draft a quarterback from Ohio State who also happens to be his son. The move puts family ties, career pressure, and the demands of an NFL franchise on a collision course.

At the same time, team owner Hal Durkin faces a major decision of his own as he considers which of his two daughters should eventually take control of the franchise.

“The Land” follows both families as battles over leadership, loyalty, and the future of the team unfold on the field and inside the front office. With fans demanding results, everyone involved faces pressure to deliver a winning season or prepare for major changes.

The series features an ensemble cast led by Christopher Meloni, Mandy Moore, Chace Crawford, Sam Corlett, Tanner Zagarino, Chloe Bennet, Bridget Moynahan, William H. Macy, and Omar Epps.

With football serving as the backdrop, “The Land” expands beyond the game itself to explore family expectations, succession, competition, and the personal cost of trying to win.
