Fabolous, Maino, Dave East, and Jim Jones Celebrate One Year of ‘Let’s Rap About It’

Fabolous, Maino, Dave East, and Jim Jones marked the one-year anniversary of their podcast, “Let’s Rap About It,” with a celebration Saturday, Oct. 10, at Partake NYC in Queens.

The event brought together fans, hip-hop supporters, and industry figures for an evening built around the chemistry that has helped the podcast gain attention during its first year.

Designed to feel like an extension of the show, the celebration included commentary from the four hosts, exclusive merchandise, and a meet-and-greet with fans.

Fabolous, Maino, Dave East, and Jones opened the evening by thanking one another and their supporters for backing the podcast and their individual projects.

Fashion also became part of the night, with guests arriving in statement sneakers, stilettos, and “kitten heels,” a reference to one of the podcast’s viral debates over whether low heels belong in the club.

DJ Wavey and DJ First Choice provided music throughout the event, mixing selections from each host. The set featured Fabolous’ “Brooklyn Badness (WYFL Freestyle),” Maino’s “NY Love,” Dave East’s “It Gotta Be Me,” and Jones’ “In the Car.”

Several artists and entertainment figures attended the celebration, including Remy Ma, Lil Mama, Albee Al, Kocky Ka, Chrissy Lampkin, and Connie Diamond.

The anniversary event was sponsored by 1800 Tequila and Foot Locker. Live events for “Let’s Rap About It” are produced by The Oracle Media.

New episodes of “Let’s Rap About It” are released Fridays at noon Eastern on the podcast’s YouTube channel and are also available on major podcast platforms.
