The hip-hop stars will celebrate the podcast’s 50th episode with a live taping, DJ Funk Flex, and an after-party at American Dream.
Fabolous, Maino, Dave East, and Jim Jones are bringing “Let’s Rap About It” back in front of a live audience as the podcast celebrates its first anniversary and 50th episode.
The four rappers will host a Sneaker Ball Edition live taping Saturday, Oct. 10, at Dream Live, the entertainment venue inside American Dream. The event is being held in partnership with Playmaker and presented by PrizePicks.
Hot 97 veteran DJ Funk Flex will serve as the official DJ for the night.
The event marks the podcast’s second live taping and gives fans a chance to experience the chemistry and candid conversations that have become central to the show.
For the anniversary celebration, the hosts are adding fashion and sneaker culture to the mix. Guests are encouraged to combine formal attire with their favorite sneakers, creating a hip-hop take on the traditional gala.
The theme fits the four hosts, who have long been associated with fashion, sneakers, and New York hip-hop culture.
Following the taping, the event will move into an after-party featuring artists, industry figures, influencers, tastemakers, and special guests.
The milestone comes one year after the launch of “Let’s Rap About It,” which brought Fabolous, Maino, Dave East, and Jim Jones together for conversations about music, entertainment, business, culture, and life.
New episodes of “Let’s Rap About It” are released Fridays at noon ET on the podcast’s YouTube channel and are available on major podcast platforms.
