FBI Will Not Recommend Charges in Clinton Email Investigation

The FBI recommended that Hillary Clinton should face no criminal charges in the investigation over the use of her private email as secretary of state.

FBI Director James Comey announced no prosecutor should bring a case because there is no evidence Clinton acted intentionally, although there was evidence Clinton acted improperly and may have been hacked.

“We are pleased that the career officials handling this case have determined that no further action by the Department is appropriate. As the Secretary has long said, it was a mistake to use her personal email and she would not do it again. We are glad that this matter is now resolved,”Clinton spokesperson Brian Fallon said in a statement.

This comes after several months and millions of dollars were spent to investigate the Benghazi attack in 2012 during Clinton’s term as secretary of state  which uncovered  the use of a personal server for emails.

Donald Trump responded to the announcement via Twiter:

FBI director said Crooked Hillary compromised our national security. No charges. Wow!
