H.E.R. Wins Academy Award for Best Original Song

Continuing her string of success, H.E.R. has added a new accomplishment to her long list of accolades.

Along with Tiara Thomas and hit-making producer Dernst “D’Mile” Emile II, the RCA and MBK Entertainment artist won an Oscar for best original song for “Fight For You” from the movie Judas and the Black Messiah.

The film focuses on the FBI’s investigation and eventual death of Black activist Fred Hampton.

To date, H.E.R. has garnered four Grammy wins, 12 nominations, and one BET award.

In related news, Daniel Kaluuya who portrayed Hampton (The Black Messiah) won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.
