JAŸ-Z 25 Breaks Yankee Stadium Concert Attendance Record on Second Sold-Out Night

JAŸ-Z continued his three-night run at Yankee Stadium on Saturday, July 11, with another sold-out performance that set a new attendance record for a concert at the venue.

The second show, billed as JAŸ-Z 25, drew 45,832 fans, surpassing the previous concert attendance record set the night before during JAŸ-Z 30. The back-to-back milestones came as part of the rapper’s celebration series at the Bronx ballpark.

Saturday’s performance featured another slate of guest appearances. Eminem joined JAŸ-Z onstage for their collaboration “Renegade” before performing “Lose Yourself.” Pharrell Williams later appeared for a set that included “Excuse Me Miss,” “I Just Wanna Love U,” “Frontin’,” and “Allure.” Slick Rick also made a surprise appearance during the show.

The concert attracted a crowd that included entertainers, athletes, and industry figures. Among those in attendance were Dave Chappelle, Dwyane Wade, Gabrielle Union, Donovan Mitchell, Coco Jones, Jayson Tatum, Alex Rodriguez, Fat Joe, Anthony Mackie, The-Dream, Joe Budden, Gayle King, Rapsody, Kenya Barris, Robinson Canó, Rudy Gay, and P.J. Tucker. Guests watched from the Armand de Brignac riser and the D’USSÉ riser.

Saturday’s event followed Friday’s JAŸ-Z 30 performance, which featured appearances by Beyoncé, Blue Ivy Carter, Nas, Alicia Keys, Memphis Bleek, and Jaz-O. JAŸ-Z and Beyoncé opened that concert with “Can’t Knock the Hustle,” while Nas later joined him for a medley of “Dead Presidents,” “The World Is Yours,” and “N.Y. State of Mind.” Blue Ivy Carter also performed the opening piano passage that introduced “Feelin’ It.”

The weekend celebration concludes with a third performance at Yankee Stadium, capping one of the largest concert runs in the venue’s history.

A first look at JAŸ-Z’s bespoke stage ensemble, designed by June Ambrose, was also unveiled during Saturday’s event.
