Sir Idris Elba set the stage with the instantly recognizable introduction that famously opened JAŸ-Z’s 2007 “American Gangster” album. Hov seamlessly transitioned into “Pray” before taking the crowd through a powerful, career-spanning set featuring fan favorites including “BAM,” “Beach Is Better,” and “On to the Next One.”
The surprises continued throughout the night, with a lineup of special guests that made the monumental occasion even more memorable.
DJ Khaled made a high-energy entrance for “God Did,” while British rap heavyweight Giggs brought the stadium to life with a performance of his breakout hit “Talking the Hardest.”
One of the night’s biggest surprises came when Ms. Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean of the Fugees took the stage, thrilling the sold-out crowd with timeless classics “Ready or Not,” “Killing Me Softly,” and “Fu-Gee-La.”
