Kodak Black will be in jail longer than he expected as a judge has denied him bond for being a “danger to the community.”
The rapper, detained since he was arrested weeks ago on weapon charges, was going to be released on $550,000 bond, but state prosecutors appealed the decision.
He allegedly lied on firearm applications to illegally acquire weapons including one connected to a shooting in March. Fortunately, no one was injured at the scene.
U.S. District Judge Federico Moreno said he was “concerned with the type of guns he wanted to get a hold of… and that he has a prior [criminal history].
Kodak was on bond while facing an allegation of sexual assaulting a teenage girl in South Carolina a few year ago.
