Lebron James Set to Star in “Space Jam 2”

There has been some conversation about a possible remake of the iconic 90’s movie, “Space Jam” for some time. It was recently confirmed that the film is being re-visited in the form of a sequel starring Lebron James.

The movie will be backed by James and his company SpringHill Entertainment, with the production being handled by “Black Panther” director Ryan Coogler.

Reportedly, the cast will include NBA players Damian Lillard, Anthony Davis and Klay Thompson with Diana Taurasi, Nneka Ogwumike and Chiney Ogwumike from the WNBA to name a few.

All-Stars such as Kevin Durant, James Harden, and Stephen Curry have been said to not likely appear in the film due to conflicting contracts with sneaker companies.

Production will begin during the off-season this year and is set to be released right before the 25th anniversary of the original movie, which starred NBA legend Michael Jordan.

“Space Jam 2” is expected to reach movie theaters on July 16, 2021.
