Lizzo Facing Allegations of Toxic Behaviors from Former Dancers

Three former dancers for Lizzo have filed a lawsuit against the singer, alleging that she subjected them to sexual harassment and a hostile work environment.

The lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, names Lizzo, her production company Big Grrrl Big Touring, Inc., and a member of Lizzo’s dance team as defendants. The dancers, Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams, and Noelle Rodriguez, allege that they were subjected to a variety of forms of harassment, including:

  • Weight-shaming
  • Sexual comments and advances
  • Inappropriate touching
  • Creating a hostile work environment

The dancers also allege that Lizzo and her team discriminated against them on the basis of their race and religion.

In a statement, the dancers’ attorney, Ron Zambrano, said that the lawsuit “is about holding Lizzo and her management team accountable for their actions.”

“Lizzo has built her career on promoting body positivity and self-acceptance,” Zambrano said. “The stunning nature of how Lizzo and her management team treated their performers seems to go against everything Lizzo stands for publicly, while privately she weight-shames her dancers and demeans them in ways that are not only illegal but absolutely demoralizing.”

Lizzo has not yet responded to the lawsuit.

The lawsuit comes at a time when Lizzo is facing increasing scrutiny for her behavior. In recent months, she has been criticized for her use of profanity and for her comments about body image.

The lawsuit could have a significant impact on Lizzo’s career. If the dancers are successful, they could be awarded damages and Lizzo’s reputation could be damaged.

The case is still in its early stages, and it is unclear how it will be resolved. However, the lawsuit has already raised questions about Lizzo’s behavior and her commitment to body positivity.
