Musiq Soulchild and Kindred The Family Soul To Perform At NJPAC In December

The New Jersey Performing Arts Center announced that Musiq Soulchild and Kindred The Family Soul will perform at Prudential Hall on Saturday, Dec. 19, at 8 p.m.

The concert will take place at the Betty Wold Johnson Stage inside NJPAC, located at One Center St. in Newark.

Philadelphia-born singer and soul-jazz performer Musiq Soulchild gained prominence following the release of his debut album, Aijuswanaseing, in 2000. His blend of R&B, soul, and jazz helped establish him as a leading voice in neo-soul music during the early 2000s.

According to NJPAC, the artist will bring his “unique and smooth sound” to audiences across North America during a fall tour that includes the Newark performance.

Kindred the Family Soul blends classic soul, hip-hop, and heartfelt storytelling into music that centers Black love, family, and community. Led by married duo Fatin Dantzler and Aja Graydon, the group built a loyal following with rich harmonies, honest lyrics, and albums that celebrate commitment and everyday life.

Tickets for the show go on sale Friday, May 22, at 10 a.m. through NJPAC’s official website, by phone at 888-466-5722, or in person at the NJPAC Box Office at 1 Center St. in Newark.
