Several American tourists have been the victims of mysterious deaths occurring at resorts in the Dominican Republic. A total of nine people have perished within the past year.

Yvette Monique Sport, David Harrison, Robert Wallace, Miranda Schaup-Werner, Edward Holmes, Cynthia Day, Leyla Cox, Joseph Allen, and John Corcoran have all been identified as the deceased.

There are many similarities between the circumstances of each death. Several reports have stated that multiple victims fell ill after consuming drinks from the minibar and the hotel-managed restaurants.

Some of them also reported the same symptoms such as nausea, respiratory issues, blurred vision, and diarrhea.

Countless people have suspected that foul play was involved. However, the Dominican Ministry of Tourism has maintained that the situation is simply coincidental.

A spokesperson for the Ministry, Callie Murphy, made a statement to USA Today regarding the situation. According to Murphy, “While what happened is tragic and regrettable, it is advisable to wait for the official reports before speculating on the causes of death.”

Around seven seniors from Oklahoma were reported to have gotten sick after eating at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino during a class trip this week.

The public is currently awaiting official releases on the causes.
