P O L A R I S Television Honors MLK with Special Programming

Upstart television channel and network, P O L A R I S, co-founded by legendary journalists, Sway Calloway and Rahman J. Dukes makes its initial foray into a new slate of programming for Martin Luther King Jr. weekend, in honor of the civil rights icon.

Starting today P O L A R I S will feature special programing curated to highlight the legacy of MLK.The programming will showcase the power of his legacy with the advancement of hip-hop culture from President Obama and Madam VP Kamala Harris’ political accomplishments to Jay-Z’s evolution to success to Polaris being the first Black owned network of its kind.

“Martin Luther King Jr. was a hero, a warrior, and an amazing humanitarian,” said Sway Calloway, Co-Founder of P O L A R I S. “Until his last days he was relentless in pointing out and fighting injustice that impacted oppressed populations all around the world. He taught us how important it is to Dream and manifest. I am proud to celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King’s legacy through a curated cultural and visual experience on P O L A R I S.”

The channel’s linear platform will unveil a special episode of the Daily Show, dedicated to MLK on Monday and leading up to the day will celebrate the weekend with music videos and shows to highlight the late great MLK.
