Former Miss Switzerland Contestant Accuses Trump of Rape in 1993; White House Denies Claim

A former Miss Switzerland contestant has accused President Donald Trump of raping her at New York’s Plaza Hotel in 1993, according to a report released by Democratic staff on the House Judiciary Committee.

Beatrice Keul told committee staff that Trump raped her in a hotel suite in November 1993 while she was in the United States for the Donald J. Trump American Dream Pageant. Keul was 24 at the time.

The White House denied the allegation. Trump has not been charged with a crime in connection with Keul’s claim, and the accusation has not been proven in court.

“None of these allegations are true,” White House spokeswoman Lauren Bis said in a statement reported by People. The White House called the Democratic report politically motivated.

According to the committee report, Keul met Trump at a luncheon connected to the pageant at the Plaza Hotel. She said Trump offered to help her obtain a U.S. visa and admission to New York University.

Keul also said she met Jeffrey Epstein at the event. Epstein, a financier and convicted sex offender who died in federal custody in 2019, allegedly described himself to Keul as a close friend of Trump.

Keul told congressional staff that she was later invited to meet Trump in a Plaza Hotel suite. She alleged that Trump grabbed her from behind and raped her, leaving her bleeding and bruised. She described the alleged assault as “brutal,” according to the report.

Keul said Trump later pressured her to remain silent and again offered to help her with a visa and university admission. She eventually returned to Switzerland.

Keul had previously spoken publicly about an encounter with Trump. In 2024, she alleged that Trump kissed and groped her during a private meeting at the Plaza Hotel but did not publicly accuse him of rape at that time.

The Democratic staff report said it relied on interviews, FBI records, survivor accounts, and documents related to Epstein. Democrats called for further investigation into allegations involving Epstein and his associates.

Trump has faced other sexual misconduct allegations, which he has denied.

In a separate civil case, a federal jury in New York found Trump liable in 2023 for sexually abusing and defaming writer E. Jean Carroll. Trump has denied Carroll’s allegations.

Keul’s accusation remains an allegation, and no criminal charges have been announced against Trump in connection with her account.
