After giving the Maybach Music Group boss every opportunity to do the right thing, Reebok has decided to terminate their marketing plans with Rick Ross.
In a statement to TMZ, the sneaker company was expressed disappointment in the rapper’s response to the situation and agreed with the popular sentiment that Rick Ross just doesn’t get it.
“Reebok holds our partners to a high standard, and we expect them to live up to the values of our brand. Unfortunately, Rick Ross has failed to do so… While we do not believe that Rick Ross condones sexual assault, we are very disappointed he has yet to display an understanding of the seriousness of this issue or an appropriate level of remorse.”
Strong women rights organizations including Ultraviolet protested, demanding that Reebok end its relationship with a rapper who blatantly advocated drugging an unknowing woman for sexual purposes.
At press time, Rick Ross has not publicly responded to being terminated.
