Reggae Legend Marcia Griffiths to Perform at Celebrate Brooklyn!

Marcia Griffiths, the amazing and undisputed Queen of Reggae, will perform and celebrate over 40 years of her music on Saturday, July 15th, 2023, at Prospect Park at BRIC’s Celebrate Brooklyn Festival. 

The Jamaican-born reggae performer has a career that spans over 60 years and is known for her soft yet strong soulful voice.

Griffiths has a long list of fan-favorite singles and has recorded music with several leading acts, including “I Feel Like Jumping” with Bob Andy, “Really Together” with Bob Andy and Jackie Mittoo, “Live On” with Beres Hammond, “Closer” with Buju Banton, and “Half Idiot” with Cutty Ranks 

She also received an Order of Distinction on National Hero’s Day in 2014 and nominated her project One World for the best reggae album in 2021.

BRIC’s Celebrate Brooklyn celebrates its 45th anniversary. While honoring the history of performative arts and culture, they grace enthusiasts with present artists and beyond.
