Midwest hip-hop artist Romey is adding another Wisconsin sports anthem to his catalog with the release of “W’s Up (Red & White Anthem),” continuing a run of songs tied to teams and sports culture across the state.
The new single follows Romey’s earlier sports-themed releases, including “Fear The Deer,” created for the Milwaukee Bucks. The track helped lead to a performance at Fiserv Forum. He later released “Brew Crew” for the Milwaukee Brewers and performed at American Family Field.
Born on the South Side of Chicago, Romey later built roots throughout Wisconsin. After relocating to Madison, he continued developing his sound and building his career independently. He eventually launched his own label, Get Rich Records, and began releasing projects outside the major-label system. In 2010, he released “Don’t Behave,” which debuted at No. 49 on the Hot 100 Singles chart.
His independent catalog also includes projects such as “The Goodfellas,” “The Chicago Takeover,” and “I Am King.” Through those releases, Romey has continued to build his presence in Midwest hip-hop while maintaining ties to Wisconsin audiences.
“W’s Up (Red & White Anthem)” continues that approach, combining Romey’s music with the energy surrounding Wisconsin sports. The release adds to a growing series of records connected to the state’s teams and fan culture.
