Millennial Maven Creative Foundation (MMCF) will bring its flagship music festival, Rooted In Rhythm: Positively Pink Edition, back to District 121 in McKinney, Texas, on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026. Doors open at 2 p.m., with performances running from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Headlining this year’s festival is rising country artist Elsie, currently competing on America’s Got Talent. She will be joined by McKinney’s own Angel White, along with Andrea Vasquez, Adrian Garza, Southbound Twins and Lori Rayne, plus spoken-word performer ShySpeaks.
This year’s Positively Pink theme honors a beloved creative and friend of MMCF who died from stage 4 metastatic breast cancer at age 30. In her memory, the organization will officially launch the Create Your Destiny Grant, a fund designed to support creatives personally impacted by breast cancer so they do not have to put their craft on hold during a diagnosis. The first grant will be awarded in 2027.
“Rooted In Rhythm has always been about giving emerging artists a real stage and a real audience,” said Bridgette Jones, executive director of Millennial Maven Creative Foundation. “This year it’s personal. We’re honoring someone we loved by making sure other creatives facing breast cancer have the support they need to keep creating.”
The festival is part of a broader season of Rooted In Rhythm programming, including line dance classes, a financial literacy workshop presented by Credit Union of Texas, an exclusive listening party at Lane Boots and a Rodeo Party Bus experience. The season will continue with a Holiday Hoedown in December.
Rooted In Rhythm has already drawn more than 1,000 participants through its line dance series, underscoring the program’s growing community reach.
