Skullcandy, a longtime player in consumer audio, has introduced the Crusher 540 Active, its first Crusher-series headphones designed specifically for workouts.
Priced at $199.99, the new over-ear model incorporates the company’s patented Crusher bass technology. The headphones are engineered to provide what Skullcandy describes as a “multi-sensory bass experience,” intended to enhance performance by delivering intense, low-end sound during physical activity.
The Crusher 540 Active is sweat and water resistant, featuring a nano-coating and silicone TPU band aimed at fitness users. With up to 40 hours of battery life, the device also supports Rapid Charge technology that gives four hours of use from a 10-minute charge.

Additional design elements include breathable ear cushions, enhanced clamping force for stability, and a fold-flat form factor for portability. The headphones come equipped with an adjustable bass slider, allowing users to customize the audio experience to their preference.
