T-Pain, Clinton Sparks Launch Global Gaming League in Las Vegas

Grammy-winning artist T-Pain and entertainment executive Clinton Sparks have officially launched the Global Gaming League (GGL), a new entertainment sports league combining gaming, celebrity, and culture.

The league debuted Saturday in Las Vegas with a pre-season event hosted by Nick Cannon and Jermaine Dupri, featuring a live performance by Soulja Boy. The event highlighted a pre-season match between T-Pain’s Nappy Boy Gaming and Bryce Hall’s Hall Pass Gaming, with a friendly $10,000 wager.

The GGL’s first full season, SZN ZERO, launches later this summer with eight celebrity-led teams.

“We all game—now it’s time for the world to see gaming at the center of culture,” said T-Pain, who serves as Executive Director of Strategy and a board member.

“We’re authentically integrating gaming with music, fashion, sports, and celebrity culture—something no one else has successfully done at this scale,” said Sparks. “The GGL is not just a league; it’s a movement to connect cultures and communities through gaming.”

The GGL will feature competitions in modern titles such as Call of Duty and Rocket League, along with classics like Street Fighter and Mario Kart. Players worldwide can apply to join celebrity-owned teams through the GGL’s Global Nomination Program.

Team owners include T-Pain, Jermaine Dupri, Bryce Hall, Flavor Flav, Gillie Da Kid, Wallo, and Kaash Paige.

The league operates from a 43,000-square-foot Las Vegas campus opened last December.

“The future engineers, artists, and leaders are gamers,” said Jeff Hoffman, GGL’s chairman. “We’re here to celebrate them, support them, and give them a global platform.”
